November designs

Mon, 18 Nov 2024

Last Monday's entry was a listing of the advent calendar items, and last Friday's was about the Pine Tree, so I've effectively covered the November reward designs, but this is me making it official.

But wait! There's more! One of my ADHD side trips was a Sea Bunny.

I've also been selling some of the gingerbread fantasy (and cryptid and extinct animals and just regular animals) ornaments. While most of them are Urban Threads "Too Cute" and similar designs kitbashed into gingerbread ornaments, there are a couple gaps in their sets. So I filled one in: the Mothman is one of mine, and as soon as I test the plush version, that design will be out too.

I'll probably do a couple more little designs, but mostly I'll be working on the one-piece/unibody Standing Dragon design. I'm going to drop it on the first of December if possible (since I don't have to wait for subscriptions to clear now). I think that's a safe bet, but to be honest part of the reason for dropping the monthly memberships is my blatant inability to correctly predict how long something will take to write up. This design should just be a matter of taking pictures and adapting the instruction text for the multi-part Standing Dragon plus the relevant parts of the Chihuahua, but for some reason it never works out that way.

I also need to take some time and really clean up the shop web pages. They're functional, but they could look a little more professional and that would probably improve sales. I'm not sure I could do it (ADHD brain gets really obsessed with those side trips) but what I should probably do is turn the embroidery machine off for December and spend all my time cleaning up the shop entries, building clean categories, bringing the library online, and that sort of thing.

Guess I should finish that dragon design first.
