And here's the second part (of three?) of the March drops. I'm continuing the Year of the Dragon with the Dragon Bunting, an alphabet set with a dragon motif. I've been trying not to make the YotD too focused though, so you can entirely leave out the dragon and still find a lot of uses for the design. As the ampersand suggests, using the simple satin frame and the right colors gives you a good wedding bunting. The square plaque makes an excellent coaster, in cork or felt with a vinyl backing.
The original reward for this month was going to be a box, constructed something like the Cookie Dragon, but it's giving me some problems in certain thicknesses of felt and vinyl, so I'm bumping it back until it's perfect. I think you'll like it, and I'll take the time to develop a bird version as well for the non-dragon fans - phoenix, cockatiel... we'll see. There will probably be a bonus design for the Free Design Tier as well, since the bunting isn't quite to the scale I like the monthly design to be.
But next month I'm switching it out and the Early Access tier will be a dragon (a sweet little sleepy charm) and the Free Design will be another fully 3-D plushie: the Standing Chihuahua. This design is nearly finished already: the base design has embarrassingly been done for, erm, several years now, and the bicolor version has been nearly complete for at least a year. So I just need to finish the eyes (they need an optional outline to offset them from black minky, and probably a squinting version because, well, chihuahua), and write the instructions.
