Sales: zero

Sales so far on the Pygmy Hippo Design: zero.
It's not entirely hopeless: I need to finish a plushie for actual sale (all the extant ones have things like contrast stitching for tutorial pictures) and put it up in the plushie sales groups on FB, which are more likely to have people who make plushies with embroidery machines in it than the actual embroidery-machine groups where I've posted the design. But it's not a great sign.
I did also turn on off-site advertising on Etsy, since I'm not getting much traffic there (that I'm not sending it myself). It means a much bigger percentage taken out in fees, but at this point 15% of zero is... hmm... carry the zero... yeah.
And as long as I'm handing off 15% to Etsy, might as well do the same on Ko-Fi except there I'm doing it as a promo code: 15% off all the Halloween/fall designs. That'll be good through the end of October. A lot of designers/design companies have inflated "normal" prices and expect people to wait for sales, and not doing that has maybe worked against me. Sorry, I just price things reasonably in the first place, like a sucker.

Can the pattern be made without an embroidery machine? I'd love one someday but they are so pricey. I mostly hand sew.

This one can't (I mean, technically it can since I include the SVG source and all that is is the lines the sewing robot is going to sew), but I'm going to make a nicely-formatted sewing version this week.
