Etsy lives

It is only fair, in this accidentally-spooky-themed week, that I bring something back from the dead. So, reluctantly: it's the Etsy shop.

Despite the increased volume of posting I've done, I'm still watching the reach on Facebook declining. They're just showing my things to fewer and fewer people. Most designers seem to get by with customer images, but you sort of need a critical mass of customers to get to that level and I'm certainly not there yet. (I suspect some designers run sock puppets, or pay people to post without disclosing that they're paid posts, but I am not desperate enough to do that yet.)

So I'm back to hoping for marketplace exposure, and that's Etsy. I've posted eight designs in my shop so far, and they all link back to the shop page here for each one. I'm taking a chance there, because I know Etsy retrieves links to make sure you're not trying to get people to buy offsite. But there's just no way I can put the extensive info about each design into the descriptions on any of the sites. The prices are the same on Etsy (despite their appallingly high fees) so hopefully that's all they care about.

On which note, check out those new pages! It's slow going, but if you compare https://silverseams.com/shop/downloadables/fxmoji-ghost.html versus https://silverseams.com/shop/products/fxmoji-ghost.html you should see a difference, unless you're reading this well into the future when I'm done and the downloadables entries just redirect to the products ones. The Kofi, Patreon, Etsy, and also Gumroad pages all link to them if they exist. (Do I have too many shops to maintain? YES I DO.)
