Blog comments are back, this time powered by Bluesky.
I'm not sure it'll stick, but we'll see. If you need an invite, hit me up. If you use a feed reader you can now subscribe to public profiles, so you can see my pictures and whatnot without actually signing up for yet another social media network.
I'm kinda burned out on Twitteresque social media myself, to be honest, but I have a personal and a business/blog account on Bluesky. I've bumped the comment system over to use that, the way I used to on Mastodon (because I have given up on automating the posting to GoToSocial).
It works the same way: Each blog post gets a Bluesky post, and replies over there get linked at the bottom of the blog post. Replies to the Bluesky post get shown as comments on the blog, etc. I test-liked the Merry Christmas post, as an example.
I've never gotten a lot of comments on the blog, even when it was WordPress-based, so I don't expect a lot here but hey, it's available.
