Probably nobody noticed, but after the disk filled up and the upgrade choked and Discourse would have needed a backup restored, I instead just removed the comments block on the blog and turned off the droplet.
In addition to serving the comments, it was the discussion forum and the mailing list.
... none of which got used, aside from a couple of comments. After the big move, I'm going to give up and create a Facebook group, since that's what works, I guess.
Yeah, I kinda hate that.
