In-the-hoop kawaii toadstool
This in-the-hoop design is for embroidery machines 4x4 and up. Use minky or fleece to make little kawaii fungus folk.
Because it’s supported by my Ko-Fi subscribers, this freebie includes a PDF of instructions with a clear picture for every stitch and step - just like my paid designs. It comes with two face designs, optional cap spots (or use sparkle minky to cut down on stitching and still get spots).
As with most of my designs, it comes in every flavor of embroidery file Ink/Stitch can produce, along with the Ink/Stitch SVG source.
Secret tip: To get the glow effect, use glow-in-the-dark thread (obviously) on white minky. But here’s an extra sneaky way to get glow minky: use a shorter-pile minky for the body pieces, if you have it (the white excess on Spoonflower yardage is great for this), and generously paint the underside of the cap in glow-in-the-dark fabric paint before turning it (i.e. on the back of the fabric). The glow will come right through the fabric, without changing the feel of the pile. Read more here.
As with other free embroidery patterns here, the SVG file is included in the ZIP package so you can modify it in Inkscape and produce your own variations/sizes/etc.
This design was created with Inkscape 1.1 and Ink/Stitch v2.2.0.
