This tiny plush dragon art doll is made from high-sheen upholstery velvet with quilting cotton wings, from a pattern I created myself. Her eyes are tiny glass cabochons, in shades of greens and blues that match her wings. She’s assembled with a combination of hand- and machine-sewing, and stands on her own with no props.
The velvet is blue with a glossy sheen, shifting from pale almost-silver to a deep Mediterranean blue depending on your viewing angle. Her wings bear a batik design; the velvet “fingers” show on both upper and lower surfaces. with velvet “fingers” that show on both upper and lower surfaces.
She’s a little over four inches tall to the tip of her crest, and her back-swept wings are almost six inches at their widest point (the actual “wingspan” would be about ten inches wide if they had been made outspread)
This is a one-of-a-kind creation – I will never make another one like it. Don’t miss out!
If you’d like to see all the OOAK dragons (including what’s coming up next), there’s a catalog of them.
Despite its toy-like appearance, this is an adult collectible art doll with small parts that could pose a choking hazard. Made in a smoke-free but cat-occupied home from an original Silver Seams pattern.
