Day 53 of #100Dragondays, and today I hauled boxes and plastic tubs out of what is going to be the studio. (That sounds better than “craft room,” right?) And I didn’t get any sleep last night because the dog is still adapting to the anti-seizure meds and sleeps all day and then can’t sleep at night. But I still managed to work on the dragon, because it’s #The100DayProject dangit.
It’s pretty much a matter of just sticking strip mache on until the armature is covered, then finishing the shaping. There will be more areas that need built up (the ribcage, the keelbone, the hips-to-tail transition, the neck) but for now I’m just working on getting a stable shell laid down.
My son has pronounced it “really cool,” so that’s encouraging. Usually he’s unimpressed by the weird intermediate stages of a project.
